| | The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with WHO, is conducting a national NCD STEPS SURVEY starting in June 2011. The survey is household-based and it aims to determine the disease burden of NCDs, measuring the prevalence of NCD risk factors by surveying eligible populations using a number of STEPS. | | June to 31 December. Interested candidates must have reached a certificate or diploma level of formal education with experience in conducting field surveys. If you would like more information, please contact the contact person mentioned below on the number below or the email also provided. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Required to join the research team to coordinate the administrative and logistic requirements of the survey |
| | 2) Coordinate the regular meeting of the STEPS committee |
| | 3) Ensure assigned tasks of committee are being carried out effectively |
| | 4) Administer the survey funds by budgeting planning, recording, monitoring and advising the survey committee on the use of funds |
| | 5) Coordinate the preparation and plan the logistics for the data collection |
| | 6) Coordinate the revised survey questionnaire and its pre-testing |
| | 7) Organise dispatch of questionnaire to agreed survey sites |
| | 8) Manage dispatch of necessary survey equipment and supplies |
| | 9) Manage the different phased between data collection and data entry until the data entry process has been satisfactorily completed. |

| | - He/she must have demonstrated experiences in participating in surveys of this scope and must be dynamic, self-directed, a self-starter, efficient, team player and demonstrate effective |
| | communication skills; Excellent coordinating and organisation skills; He/she must take initiative, prompt action when needed and be able to learn fast |
| | - He/she must have excellent computer skills, in particular use of excel and be able to write english well. |

| | A salary package based on the PSC scale Os4.0 (1,411,200 vatu per annum) will be offered to the successful candidate. |
