Job Description:

Vanuatu Education Policy Advocacy Coalition (VEPAC) is a national coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and individuals in Vanuatu which was established in November 2009 with the support of Asia South Pacific Association for Basic and Adult Education (ASPBAE) to work to ensure that all people in Vanuatu, especially those from disadvantaged groups, gain

access to quality education. In order to achieve this, VEPAC participates in education policy research, analysis and advocacy.

VEPAC is seeking a Finance and Administration Officer based in Port Vila to assist in the development and implementation of its programs. The Finance and Administration Officer is responsible to the VEPAC Board through the Coordinator. Please note that no accommodation is provided. Transportation to and from work will be at the employees own cost.



Duties and responsibilities:

1) Work with the Coordinator to put in place appropriate financial system for VEPAC

2) Maintain the financial records of the VEPAC office and its programs, including payment of accounts, salaries, National Provident Fund contributions

3) Produce monthly financial reports for the coordinator and quarterly financial reports for the board and prepare for the annual audit

4) Produce financial summaries and reconciliations as required

5) Help establish and maintain office information management systems and procedures including an operations manual

6) Produce acquittal reports for donors as and when required

7) Assist the coordinator in managing the day to day office administration and operations.

Interested applicant must possess the following:

Criteria:

- Minimum qualification of certificate in financial management from a recognized institution; Sound knowledge of Vanuatu laws relating to terms and conditions of employment; Competent is the use excel

spreadsheets and preferably MYOB software; Good administration and organizational skills

- Experience in financial reporting to donors; Experience in project funds management; Ability to take initiative and to work as a supportive team member.

Salary:
