| | 1) The role of master (mediator) requires a confident, articulate, enthusiastic and highly qualified individual to work within the Supreme Court of Vanuatu |
| | 2) Will be required to conduct mediations and perform delegated judicial and statutory functions as may be prescribed by the law and the rules of Court. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Understanding of the supreme court Vanuatu and the statues that confer jurisdiction on the court; The ability to effectively and efficiency manage cases; The ability to effectively conduct mediations; Excellent |
| | legal research, analytical and writing skills and the ability to make sound, well researched decisions; Highly developed negotiation, problem, analytical and conflict resolution skills |
| | - The ability to maintain confidence, exercise sound judgment and discretion; High standards of integrity to work in an ethical, equitable and impartial manner; Highly developed communication and |
| | interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people under difficult circumstances |
| | - Interact with the legal profession, judicial staff and the general public; Mandatory qualifications apply to this position: admission to practice as a barrister and solicitor of the supreme court of the Vanuatu or |
| | a similar court in another jurisdiction or is sitting as a senior magistrate for a period of 3 years. |
