| UNIECF office in Solomon Islands is seeking to employ a person, who will be based in the UNICEF Solomon’s islands, Honiara under the direct supervision from the chief of Solomon Islands field office, and technical guidance of chief of HIVAIDS Suva office contributes to project design, implementation, and evaluation of programme/project activities, data analysis and |
| progress reporting. | 1) Collect and analyses data for situation analysis, programme/project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation purposes. Analyse programme implementation reports and evaluate against established programme recommendations and plans of action, Prepare tables, graphs and other statistical data, report outcome of analysis and propose corrective |
| action |
| 2) Undertake on-going visits to UNICEF project sites, assess local conditions and resources, and monitor UNICEF inputs, communicate with local counterpart’s authorities on HIV and AIDS project feasibility and effectiveness including monitoring the flow of supply and non-supply assistance |
| 3) Undertakes follow-up action on HIV and AIDS programme implementation activities and prepare relevant reports, drafts changes on programe work plans as required |
| 4) Attends technical cooperation meeting, prepare notes and undertake follow-up action related to programme implementation and monitoring |
| 5) Selects and complied HIV and AIDS training and orientation materials for those involved in programming implementation |
| 6) Evaluate and analyses financial and supply reports to ensure appropriateness of documentation, expenditures are within. |
| Criteria: |
| - Completion of university degree in social sciences or related technical field; Two (2) years progressively responsible experience in programme design, administration, monitoring and evaluation in related |
| field; Fluency in english and another UN working language required, Knowledge of local working language of the duty station an asset |
| - Communication, analytical and training skills; Good knowledge of computer management and applications; Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment. |
