| | Applications are called for the above position from suitably qualified Ni Vanuatu candidates who meet, as a minimum the criteria mentioned. The position will be based at Air Vanuatu House, Port Vila, Vanuatu. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Report directly to the chief executive officer |
| | 2) Air Vanuatu is the national carrier of the republic of Vanuatu, and as such holds a major responsibility for the national development, particularly for tourism and the related economic growth |
| | 3) Will undertake a full assessment and where appropriate restructure of the finance department including but not limited to systems, resources, staffing, departmental output and revenue and expense management sections. |
| | Interested applicant must have the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - A tertiary qualification in the areas of financial management; A minimum of 10 years experience in senior financial management of a large business or related customer focused enterprise; Ability to regularly |
| | prepare and present detailed and intimate financial reports to the executive management, board of directors and when required the shareholders |
| | - Be of the highest ethical standards and demonstrate adherence to the leadership codes and all aspects of good governance, vanuatu law and the financial regimes with which we interface |
| | - Be in a state of good health and sound mind, and able to work a variety of hours to match business hours; A full and thorough understanding of all aspects of aviation finance; Extensive command of bislama, |
| | english and french. |
