| | The school of law is seeking suitable candidate for the position mentioned. The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Required to teach in the area of environment law, law of the sea, fisheries law and or related areas of law with the USP’s specialist environmental law programme |
| | 2) Contribute to the teaching of the core curriculum of the school of law |
| | 3) Undertake consultancies outside the university where appropriate |
| | 4) Contribute to the administration of the school of law, faculty and university more broadly |
| | 5) Mentor and assist junior staff to develop their academic competence and research profiles. |
| | Interested applicant must have the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in law; Postgraduate degree (preferably a PhD) in law or a related discipline; Extensive professional experience and tertiary teaching experience |
| | - Very good record of publication and research; A high level of computer proficiency; Experience in teaching courses through distance education mode |
| | - At senior lecturer level, applicant have all it take for appointment at lecturer level but with extensive experience in teaching law in a tertiary institution; An outstanding record of publication and |
| | demonstrated capacity foer academic and administrative leadership. |
| | Salary: |
| | Senior Lecturer: Vatu 5,329,255 to Vatu 6,149,414 per annum and Lecturer: Vatu 3,972,317 to VUV 5,226,733 per annum. |
