| | The national bank of vanuatu is seeking to recruit a highly qualified and experienced person to fill the position of head of operations. The position is located at the banks head office in port vila, vanuatu. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Reporting directly to the managing director |
| | 2) Responsible for the overall administration of the banks ICT, e-banking and logistics support departments, as well as management of special projects as directed by the managing director and board |
| | 3) Will also be responsible for implementing new technology platforms to expand banking services and micro financial services more widely across the country through special project initiatives including the banks VSAT communication network |
| | 4) In addition to responsibilities relating to technology management and implementation |
| | 5) This involves implementation of building fit-out, including ICT network, phone systems and electronics security. |
| | Interested applicant must have the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - The individual must have formal information qualifications; A strong working knowledge of bank information systems, supported by solid analytical and problem solving skills; Advanced skills gained in a rural |
| | banking technical services development are highly desirable for this position including a demonstrable track record of past success in the banking sector |
| | - Tertiary qualifications in information & communications technology; Post graduate qualifications in a development field of management will be highly regarded; At least 15 years experience in a banking and |
| | finance services environment; 10 years experience in operational management; Demonstrated leadership qualities; Good communication and people management skills |
| | - Experience in developing country initiatives, particulary in the microfinance or rural banking sectors, will be beneficial. |
