| | PacLII is seeking 2 full-time and 4 part-time (20 hours per week) document assistants to work in the editorial teams of the institute processing pacific islands legal materials for, online publication. The positions are available for a period of 6 months and may be renewed by mutual agreement. Applicants should state when applying whether they are interested in a full- |
| | time or part-time position. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) The appointees will be required to assist the hard copy editors in the conversion of hard copy documents to electronic form for publication, by scanning, formatting and proof reading the documents |
| | 2) Assist with quality control and indexing of publishable material and undertake any other duties as may be prescribed by the director of PacLII. |
| | Interested applicant must have the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Must have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field o an equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation; Have excellent english skills; Have a high |
| | level of general computer skills; Have an ability to work independently and as part of a team; Have a high level of written and oral communication skills. |
| | - Preference will be given to applicants with experience in editing, or work in a legal practice; Have some library qualifications; knowledge of online reporting systems; Regional experience and knowledge. |
| | Salary: |
| | Grade 2 -732593-1, O40, 593 VT per annum (plus 6% NPF) currently under review. Pro-rata for part-time positions. |
