Contract is for a full time position based at Port Vila for July 2010 to July 2012 and may be renewed for specified duration thereafter, depending on the hall of justice project. | | Interested applicant must have the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - University diploma/degree/masters in architects/civil engineering and or any other equivalent combination of relevant training and experience in the area of the building industry; 10 years or more of relevant |
| | operational and field experience in the building industry; Professional experience in project development, implementation and evaluation and or program implementation and management |
| | - Proven solid experience in writing project document, reports and donor liaison, administration of the building industry; Proven and solid experience in managing and monitoring program budget; Knowledge of |
| | design/construction policies and research required, specific knowledge of the pacific or melanesian culture is an advantage; Excellent writing, communication mangement and negotiation skills; Ability to |
| | establish working relationship with government authorities, other national/international institutions and non-governmental organization |
| | - Good level of computer literacy, awareness and understanding of computerized integrated management systems, applications and tools; Willingness to travel domestically, regionally and internationally; |
| | Excellent oral and written communication skills in english and or french language, bislama is and advantage; Knowledgeable in governmental relationships |
| | - An analytical, practical and creative thinker; Able to make decisions at whatever condition and nature of works; Professional attitude, honesty and reliability. |
