| | Criteria: |
| | - Appropriate tertiary level level qualification preferable in management, law or a related discipline and at least 6 years working experience at a senior management level |
| | - Sound understanding and knowledge of roles and functions of the Vanuatu Police Force and be familiar with the Police Act [CAP 105] |
| | - Excellent leadership skills including the ability to exercise sound judgement and ability to manage and motivate the Vanuatu Police Force in the delivery of quality focused services |
| | - Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate fluently in Bislama, English and French would be an advantage |
| | - Demonstare capacity and vision to undertake strategies in reforming and taking the Vanuatu Police Force into the future |
