• Coordinate the handling of oversized, heavy, or special cargo with the relevant teams.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or operational issues promptly.

3. Team Supervision
• Supervise and coordinate dock staff and casual workers.
• Allocate daily tasks and ensure that team members understand their responsibilities.
• Monitor staff performance and ensure that operational procedures are followed.
• Provide guidance and support to dock staff to maintain a high level of productivity and service.
• Ensure that staff work efficiently and cooperatively as a team.

4. Safety and Compliance
• Ensure that all dock operations are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Enforce health and safety rules and ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Identify and report potential safety hazards and operational risks.
• Ensure that cargo is handled, loaded, and secured safely.
• Immediately report accidents, incidents, or damage to management.

5. Coordination with Sales and Commercial Teams
• Coordinate closely with the Sales and Commercial teams regarding cargo bookings and customer requirements.
• Confirm cargo availability, dimensions, weight, and loading requirements.
• Ensure that the dock team is informed of all confirmed cargo bookings and special handling requirements.
• Provide regular updates regarding cargo status, loading progress, and operational constraints.
• Communicate any capacity issues, delays, or changes that may affect customers or scheduled shipments.

6. Vessel Operations
• Coordinate dock operations according to vessel arrival and departure schedules.
• Ensure that loading and unloading activities are completed within the allocated operational time.
• Liaise with vessel crew and relevant operational personnel as required.
• Support the efficient turnaround of vessels at the dock.
• Ensure the dock is properly organized and ready before vessel arrival.

7. Reporting and Administration
• Maintain accurate records of cargo received, loaded, unloaded, and dispatched.
• Report operational performance, incidents, delays, and discrepancies to management.
• Assist with daily operational planning and reporting.
• Ensure that all required operational documents are properly completed and filed.

The Dock Operations Manager will work closely with Operations Management, the Sales and Commercial Teams, Cargo and Parcel Teams, Dock Staff and casual workers, Vessel crews, customers and freight forwarders, as well as other relevant operational and administrative departments.

Selection Criteria:

• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Previous experience in dock, port, shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
• Proven experience supervising, leading, and managing operational teams.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and support team members.

Job Desctiption:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dispatch & Logistics Coordinator to oversee the efficient dispatch, delivery, and movement of goods while supporting warehouse, stock control, and sales operations. This hands-on role requires a qualified forklift operator and heavy vehicle driver.
The successful candidate will work closely with the sales team to ensure customer orders are processed, dispatched, and delivered accurately and on time. Strong organizational skills are essential to manage multiple priorities, coordinate logistics activities, monitor stock levels, and maintain smooth day-to-day operations. A commitment to safety, accuracy, and excellent customer service is critical to success in this role.

Selection Criteria:

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy vehicles and forklifts to load, transport, unload, and store glass, aluminium profiles, and other construction materials.
• Handle fragile, heavy, and oversized stock using approved lifting equipment, safe work practices, and required PPE.
• Assist with stock control activities, including receiving, storing, recording, stock movements, bin management, and stock takes.
• Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections, report defects or safety concerns, and maintain clean, organized work areas in line with 5S standards.
• Coordinate with warehouse, inventory, sales, and installation teams to ensure accurate stock handling and timely deliveries and pickups.
• Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, delivery issues, and other operational concerns to the Operational Manager.
• Comply with all workplace health, safety, and company policies while maintaining a high standard of customer service during deliveries and daily operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current Forklift Licence/Certification and Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
• Experience in dispatch, logistics, warehousing, delivery operations, and stock control.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse processes.
• Ability to coordinate deliveries, manage transport schedules, and ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Ability to work closely with sales, warehouse, and operations teams to meet customer requirements.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards and safe work practices.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Salary:

Salary between VT 70,000 and VT 100,000 per month, depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
