Auclair Dupont is recruiting a Manager of Corporate Services / Director of General Affairs and Support Services (M/F) for Vanuatu Brewing Limited (VBL), a major player in the beverage industry in Vanuatu.
VBL locally produces Tusker beer as well as sparkling water, and also imports and distributes a range of beverage brands. The company employs approximately 70 people and operates across industrial, commercial, logistics and corporate support activities.
MISSIONS
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will act as a true Business Partner, actively contributing to the management and improvement of the company’s overall performance.
You will be responsible for overseeing VBL’s main corporate support functions, including finance and accounting, human resources, procurement and information systems.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading, supporting and developing managers and teams across the various corporate support functions;
- Setting objectives, monitoring performance and fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency;
- Overseeing administrative and financial processes and identifying areas for improvement;
- Strengthening internal controls, risk management and regulatory compliance;
- Contributing to budget preparation and monitoring, while supporting improvements in the company’s overall profitability;
- Analysing business data and performance indicators, identifying variances and recommending action plans;
- Managing procurement activities within your scope and contributing to supply optimisation;
- Supporting General Management in monitoring and analysing certain commercial operations;
- Leading cross-functional projects and supporting organisational changes;
- Developing more efficient ways of working and promoting a continuous improvement approach across all corporate support functions.
Beyond a supervisory role, you will be expected to maintain a strong operational presence, closely follow the implementation of actions and intervene directly whenever required.
Selection Criteria:
You hold a higher education qualification in management, finance, accounting, business administration or a related field, and have at least 10 years of professional experience, including several years in a management or senior leadership position.
Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or distribution environment would be a strong advantage.
You have solid expertise in:
- Managing managers and multidisciplinary teams;
- Financial, budgetary and operational management;
- Data analysis and performance management through KPIs;
- Procurement and process optimisation;
- Governance, internal controls and risk management;
- Cross-functional project management and change management;
- IT tools and ERP systems.
Above all, VBL is looking for a highly hands-on, autonomous, structured and proactive professional, capable of challenging existing practices and translating analysis into practical business decisions.
Your ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, together with your pragmatism, interpersonal skills and capacity to adapt to the specific requirements of an island environment, will be essential.
A good command of English/French is essential, given VBL’s international environment and its relationships with regional partners.
