Job Desctiption:
Manager - Operations and Strategic Development plays a critical leadership role in supporting the operational execution and corporate growth of Vanuatu Unlocked Ltd.
This role requires an individual with extensive international operational experience, strong stakeholder engagement capability, and the ability to operate effectively across multiple cultural, corporate, and institutional environments.
The successful candidate will bring global operational discipline, strategic thinking, and the ability to build trusted relationships with international investors, corporate partners, and institutional stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Management and Operational Leadership
• Develop and manage complex project plans across multiple stakeholders
• Coordinate delivery of strategic corporate and investment-related initiatives
• Establish and maintain professional operational systems and reporting frameworks
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure delivery of projects to international professional standards
Corporate Development and Strategic Growth
• Support the identification and development of new corporate opportunities
• Assist in the development and execution of corporate growth strategies
• Support engagement with international partners, investors, and institutional stakeholders
• Assist in the preparation of corporate proposals, presentations, and investment materials
Corporate Sales and Investor Engagement
• Support engagement with international investors and corporate partners
• Assist in maintaining relationships with high-value stakeholders
• Represent the organisation in professional meetings and engagements where required
• Support the ongoing development of corporate partnerships
Stakeholder and Cultural Engagement
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across diverse cultural environments
• Operate with cultural sensitivity and awareness in both international and Pacific contexts
• Support engagement with government, private sector, and institutional partners
Operational Systems and Organisational Development
• Support the development of internal systems, frameworks, and organisational processes
• Contribute to organisational capability development
• Assist in strengthening operational discipline and professional standards
Selection Criteria:
Essential Experience
• Minimum 15 years professional experience in internationally regulated or globally operating organisations
• Demonstrated leadership experience in operational environments involving complex coordination and accountability
• Proven experience working within international corporate or institutional environments
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across different organisational or cultural contexts
International and Cultural Capability
• Significant experience living and working internationally across multiple countries or regions
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across diverse cultural environments
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across cultures
• Experience working within culturally grounded organisational environments is highly regarded
Corporate and Stakeholder Engagement
• Demonstrated experience engaging with senior stakeholders, corporate partners, or institutional organisations
• Strong communication and relationship management capability
• Ability to represent an organisation professionally in international contexts
Operational Discipline and Organisational Capability
• Demonstrated ability to operate within highly structured, compliance-driven, or operationally complex environments
• Strong organisational and reporting skills
